HH Shaikh Khalid hails handball team’s historic achievement in Olympics

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee hailed Bahrain National Handball team on its historic achievement in the Olympics by reaching the last-8 round. “We are proud of the historic accomplishment made by our handball champions who reached the last-8 phase in the Tokyo Olympics.
This is alone a great success for our handball team, whose results speak for themselves,” HH Shaikh Khalid said. HH Shaikh Khalid escalated his congratulations to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain and to HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister as well as to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs on the occasion.
“This honourable result reflects the progress and prosperity of the Bahraini sports thanks to the sponsorship and care of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as His Majesty’s support has contributed to Bahrain achieving outstanding results in sports,” HH Shaikh Khalid added.
“The interest of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad in the sports sector through the establishment of development projects have created an ideal environment for the players to flourish,” HH Shaikh Khalid added. Furthermore, HH Shaikh Khalid indicated the enormous efforts being exerted by HH Shaikh Nasser to translate HM the King’s directives, which have taken Bahrain’s sports to a different level.
Meanwhile, HH Shaikh Khalid praised the efforts of the Bahrain National Handball team’s players in the Olympics and their success, stating that achieving this great result reflects the hard work of the Bahrain Handball Association under the presidency of HE MP Ali Isa Ishaqi. “Our efforts will continue in the sports sector. We will open new horizons to develop the sports system,” His Highness concluded.
