Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) announced yesterday the rescheduling of the all-new Bahrain ProAm 1,000 to January 29 of next year.

This follows the launch by BIC and Driving Force Events of the race, which has received significant interest from participants, in particular from European competitors.

Therefore, due to the longer than usual European season, to allow for the necessary logistics for participating European teams, it has been decided to change the date of the event from its original date of December 11.

BIC and Driving Force Events said that they look forward to announcing further details soon for this innovative GT endurance event.

The Bahrain ProAm 1,000 is set to become the only global GT endurance race open exclusively to ProAm and Am driver combinations, with no Pro combinations permitted. This will allow gentleman drivers to battle for overall victory.

The race, taking in 185 laps of the Formula 1-hosting circuit, will be open to GT3, GT4 and Cup classes. Driving Force Events is the promoter of the Gulf 12 Hours, which successfully hosted a hugely popular 2021 event in January at BIC, won by Bahrain’s 2 Seas Motorsport.
