REHC to host back-to-back days of racing this weekend

Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) will be holding back-to-back days of action this weekend with plenty to look forward to on the cards. Today, there will be eight races in all with the main event for the Montreal Motors Co. SPC Cup. Then, tomorrow, seven races are on schedule with the main race being for the Tylos Plastic Industries Cup.

The trio of Cloud Drift, Medal Winner and Zezenia have been tipped for today as having a chance to claim the victory for the main Montreal Motors Co. SPC Cup.

The race will be held over nine furlongs with a BD3,000 prize. Race two will also be for a Montreal Motors Co. SPC Cup, taking place over seven furlongs with a BD2,000 prize.

The fifth event of the day will be for the Late Abdulhadi Al Afoo Cup, and it will be contested by imported horses over seven furlongs for a BD3,000 prize; while the first race is for the Al Sakhir Cup, to feature a distance of six furlongs with a BD1,500 prize.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, there will be five races offering a Tylos Plastic Industries Cup. The main race will be for imported horses over 10 furlongs with a BD4,000 prize. Race five will also have a Tylos cup, to be held over eight furlongs with a BD3,000 prize.

Race four (1,600m distance, BD3,000 prize), race three (1,200m straight, BD2,500) and race two (1,200m straight, BD2,500) are the others in which a Tylos Plastic Industries Cup can be won. Race six offers a Late S Sharaf Al Alawi Cup, whereas race one is for the Safra Cup.
