HH Shaikh Nasser hails HH Shaikha Noora for sponsoring Best Horse Condition Award

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Honorary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), has hailed the efforts of HH Shaikha Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa, Captain of Al Fursan Team, for sponsoring the Best Horse Condition Award which will be presented in the opening international qualifiers that will take place today, covering 100km and 120km distances.
HH Shaikh Nasser underlined that this Award is an ideal motivator for all the participants, and confirms Her Highness’ keenness to support all stables and jockeys and contribute to the prosperity of the Bahrain endurance sport.
His Highness explained that this Award which has been accredited by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports will have positive spinoffs on making competition among all participants stronger as stables and jockeys will be keen to finish the race and their horses in top condition.
Moreover, HH Shaikh Nasser expressed happiness at seeing participants record positive high results at endurance races, pointing out that this represents clear evidence for the development of this sport in Bahrain as well as its steady progress towards prosperity.
“Witnessing new faces entering this sport is among the goals identified by BREEF under the presidency of HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa,” HH Shaikh Nasser said.
Best Horse Condition Award
Under the patronage of HH Shaikha Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa, Captain Al Fursan Team, the 100km and 120km races will feature the Best Horse Condition Award which will give the winners prizes and financial rewards.
The Award will be handed to the top ten horses that complete the race stages, and it will be for the Royal stables and the private ones too. In this context, BREEF formed a committee to decide the winners who will be announced upon the completion of the races.
They will be identified based on certain standards such as the heart beat ratio, time required for recovery and dehydration. The races will be held in the new village of Raas El Bar. It is worth noting that the 80km and 40km local races were held yesterday. Bader Fahad Al Enzi topped the 40km race, while Nayef Mubarak led the 80km race.
