Torres moves on from BRAVE CF debacle, opens new career chapter at Bantamweight

American standout Jose “Shorty” Torres remains optimistic, despite missing out on the opportunity to advance to the finals of the prestigious BRAVE CF Flyweight World Title Tournament. With Less than 24 hours before the official weigh-ins, Torres opted to pull out of the semifinal clash against Ali “Puncher King” Bagautinov at BRAVE 55 in Rostov-on-Don, Russia last Saturday, November 6.

The 29-year-old native of Chicago, Illinois had difficulties meeting the contracted weight limit for the bout.

As a result, former opponent and compatriot Sean “Shorty Rock” Santella stepped in to face the Russian powerhouse in front of his hometown fans.
