HM the King hails honourable Jiu Jitsu achievement

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held a phone call with National Jiu-Jitsu Team athlete Ali Munfaridi who bagged the gold medal in the World Championship, organized by the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation (JJIF) in Abu Dhabi, the UAE.

HM the King congratulated champion Munfaridi on this honourable world accomplishment which adds to Bahrain’s record of achievements in this sport and other games.

HM the King praised Mufaridi for the effort he had exerted in the championship, outclassing all contenders taking part in the world contest, to win the gold medal and honour his country in this international sports arena.

During the phone call, HM the King lauded Bahrain youth’s potential and ability to compete, win and book a berth on the podiums in different sports.

Munfaridi expressed deepest thanks and gratitude to HM the King, valuing the unwavering royal support to all athletes.

He vowed to continue honouring the Kingdom of Bahrain in the coming competitions.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, Head of General Sports Authority (GSA) and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the occasion.

He also congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa also congratulated Bahrain Jiu-Jitsu Federation Chairman MP Ridha Munfaridi and all affiliates of the federation on this honourable achievement.
