Rumbay, Lam clinch titles at BKS badminton tournament

Ikhsan Leonardo Imanuel Rumbay of Indonesia beat Jia Heng Jason Teh of Singapore in straight sets (21-18 21-15) to win the men’s singles title on the final day at the Bahrain International Challenge 2021 which was organised by Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam at their premises. In women’s singles, Lauren Lam of USA defeated Asty Dwi Widyaningrum of Indonesia (21-18 21-10) to clinch the crown.
The pair of Yeung Nga Ting and Yeung Pui Lam of Hong Kong and China triumphed over compatriot Ng Tsz Yau and Tsang Hiu Yan (21-12 21- 18) in the women’s doubles final.
In an all-Indonesian affair in the men’s doubles final, Raymond Indra and Daniel Edgar Marvino defeated the pair of Amri Syahnawi and Christopher David Wijaya (22-20 18-21 22-20). Law Cheuk Him and Yeung Nga Ting of Hong Kong and China cruised past Indonesians Akbar Bintang Cahyono and Winny Oktavina Kandow (11-21 21-13 21-11) in the mixed doubles final.
The prizes were distributed by Ihjas Aslam, Third Secretary (Pol&PIC), Indian Embassy and the charge D’Affaires Firdauzie Dwiandika, Minister Counsellor, Indonesian Embassy. P.V. Radhakrishna Pillai, President of BKS, was also present along with other members.
