Riding a tremendous seven-fight win streak, Sam ‘’The Future’’ Patterson has ambitious plans for the new year.
He believes he’s next in line for newly-minted BRAVE CF Lightweight champion Ahmed Amir and has called out the titleholder for a rematch, with the belt on the line this time.
Through his Instagram account, Patterson used a picture of their fight to propose a rematch, which would take place between March and April, in an ideal world for ‘’The Future’’.
Sam has spoken at length in the past about his wish to run it back with ‘’The Butcher’’, praising Amir’s improvements since they first fought, but maintaining his confidence in beating the champion should they share the cage once again.
Patterson and Amir fought for the first time back at BRAVE CF 23, in April of 2019, with a draw being the final result.
During the fight, Ahmed got the better of Sam for the first two rounds, before the Brit roared back in the third frame and earned a 10-8 to even the score.
After their fight, they both went on to tear their next opponents, which culminated with Amir holding the belt after beating Amin Ayoub at BRAVE CF 54, and Patterson positioning himself nicely as one of the Lightweight division’s top contenders.
