Al Gaoud wins Christmas hamper tournament at Awali Golf Club

Adel Al Gaoud was the overall winner of the BMMI Alosra Christmas Hamper golf tournament, played at Awali Golf Club (AGC).
Al Gaoud played a 64 net following a steady round that included 12 pars to triumph in AGC’s Christmas competition.
He came away with one of the eight prizes to be played for in the event.
Two others were to be awarded to the top two of the three divisions of golfers, along with the medal.
In division one, Mohamed Ahmed Al Zayed was the winner with a 73 gross and 64 net, which saw him hole three birdies on the back nine.
Salah Hamad Al Shaer finished in second with a 72 net.
Sarah Hobday was the victor in division two.
She played a 71 net and had a better back nine than Lee McIlear, who came second with the same score.
Division three was won by Majed Al Zayed.
He had a 65 net and also won with a better back nine over Lynn St Lawrence, who also played a round of 65 net.
Husain Ahmed Salem was the medal winner with a 73 score, but winning with the best back nine.
After the play, the winners have presented their respective prizes in a ceremony attended by AGC captain Susan Scott and tournament director Nathan Sundaresan.
