BOC general assembly recommends HH Shaikh Khalid as Olympic chief for new cycle

The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general assembly has recommended His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa as BOC chief for the electoral cycle 2021- 2024.

This came at the general assembly’s meeting held virtually on Thursday evening, chaired by BOC vice-chairman His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, on behalf of HH Shaikh Khalid and in the presence of BOC secretary general Mohammed Al Nusuf, BOC members and national federation representatives.

HH Shaikh Isa congratulated HH Shaikh Khalid on the occasion of his nomination as BOC president for the new term, and praised the recent outstanding achievements under his presidency.

HH Shaikh Isa praised the unlimited support that Bahrain’s sports movement enjoys from the wise leadership, as well as the interest of His Majesty the King’s humanitarian works and youth affairs representative and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports president His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, which has helped raise the Bahrain flag in various international sporting events, including last year’s Tokyo Olympic Games.
