Al Mehsani wins Crown Prince’s Cup golf title

Nasser Saad Al Mehsani was crowned champion of the Crown Prince’s Cup golf tournament, held at the Bahrain Golf Club (BGC).

The annual event was held in honour of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and it featured over 90 players over two days of competition.

Al Mehsani clinched the overall title after posting the lowest gross score of the tournament after carding a 70.

He won on countback as Nasser Yaqoub Saleh also finished with a 70, but had to settle for the runner-up spot.

Taking third place overall was Yousif Ahmed Almurbati with a gross 71.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Khaled Alhazza took first place amongst the nett scores with a 64 from a gross 82.

Mubarak Saad Sultan came second on a nett 68 (gross 75), while Abdulla Ahmed Alfedhala finished third, also on a net 68 (gross 75).

Also taking home prizes were Mohamed Rashid Alkaabi (nett 68, gross 78), Adnan Mohamed Alsowaidi (69, 78), Nawaf Salem Alnoaimi (69, 77), Mohamed Khalifa Almerisi (70, 73), Rashid Ahmed Alhaji (70, 82), Fahad Abdullah Alhakam (70, 71) and Isa Abdullah Alqutami (70, 75).

Following all the action, the winners have presented their prizes in a ceremony attended by Bahrain Defence Force chief of staff and BGC vice-president Lt-Gen Dheyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, BGC deputy vice-president Hamad Salem Alathem, club board members and players.
