HH Shaikh Khalid meets with Bahraini professional athletes abroad via video conference

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, met through the videoconferencing technology with Bahraini professional players abroad.

At the start of the meeting, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed the Bahraini sportspeople, conveying to them the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Majesty’s best wishes of success for them.

His Highness expressed his great happiness at the honourable levels presented by Bahrain’s professional athletes who are present in the Gulf, Arab, continental and international stadiums, namely:

Abdulla Yusuf, player of Slavia Prague football team, Ali Madan, player of Al Urooba football team of UAE, Ali Haram and Abdulla Al Haza’a, players of Kuwait’s Al Tadamun football team, Yasmine Fayez, Hessa Al Isa and Hajer Al Ansari, players of Saudi Arabia’s Al Mamlaka football team, Hussain Al Sayyad, player of Saudi Arabia’s Al Noor handball team, Hussain Ali, player of Saudi Arabia’s Al Adala handball team, Mohammed Habib and Ahmed Al Maqabi, players of Kuwait’s Al Qadisiya handball team, Ali Mirza, player of Kuwait’s Barkan handball team, Ali Abdulqader, player of Kuwait’s Kadhema handball team, Elyas Al Yasi, player of Egypt’s Al Ribat and Al Anwar table tennis teams, Mohammed Abbas, player of Serbia’s Red Star table tennis team, Anwar Makki, player of Egypt’s Al Ismaili table tennis team, Mustafa Hussain and Muzammal Ameer, players of American university basketball teams.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that the professionalisation of Bahraini athletes abroad enhances the progress achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain at the level of sports, which in turn was reflected in the development of the level of athletes.

In addition, His Highness stated that the professionalism of the Bahraini athletes reflects the confidence of clubs and sports authorities in them.

Moreover, His Highness highlighted the high capabilities of Bahraini players that contribute to achieving outstanding results, urging the professional athletes to be the best ambassadors for the Kingdom abroad.
