HH Shaikh Nasser witnesses Royal Team’s training ahead of Saudi event

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, has witnessed in the presence of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for the Environment and Vice President of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, the final preparations for the Royal Endurance Team ahead of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup which will take place on Saturday in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia.
The event will cover 120km and will be held under the theme “The Knights Cup”.
It will feature a broad pool of elite participants.
Commenting on the event, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup is one of the strongest endurance contests and that the Royal Endurance team is keen to have a strong presence in the event to confirm the team’s high capabilities, indicating that there are many goals that the team will strive to achieve by taking part in this prestigious competition.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa explained that the participation of 200 jockeys from different countries of the world is clear evidence of the high desire of the participants to leave their mark in major endurance competitions.
Meanwhile, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the outstanding efforts made by the organising committee of the competition and their keenness to provide all the needs of the participating jockeys, wishing the committee continued success.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in the presence of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, also met the jockeys of the Royal Endurance team as well as the training staff.
His Highness urged the jockeys to showcase their best performances and strive to achieve positive results that reflect the capabilities of the Bahraini endurance sport.
It’s worth noting that the Kingdom’s team is composed of five participants, namely Raed Mahmoud, Abdulrahman Al Zayed, Othman Al Awadhi, Mohammed Abdul Samad Al Bastaki, and Isa Jamal Al Sendi.
