Heath Moxham was the overall winner in the Club Stableford competition at Awali Golf Club (AGC), held over the weekend. Moxham clinched first place with 36 points and a better back nine from his closest competitor.
His round was particularly impressive having registered a string of bogeys and a par on hole 12, collecting lots of points. Moxham topped the field of 64 players who braved the cold and windy weather for a chance to claim one of the six prizes in the event.
Finishing as runner-up was Anurag Bajaj, also on 36 points and a nice card of pars and bogeys and only two double bogeys. Third through sixth place, respectively, all with 35 points, were Quinten Du Preez, Mahmood Falamarzi, Beth Robinson and Anil Nair.
Du Preez came away with third having the best back nine of them all. Falamarzi finished fourth and Robinson fifth, while Nair was sixth to claim his first prize of the season. The best gross score of the competition was posted by Rod Allderidge, who came back with a card of 80.
Following play, the winners were presented their awards in a ceremony at the club attended by AGC captain Susan Scott and tournament director Rashid Al Qutami.
