Shaikh Duaij hails HH Shaikh Nasser’s support to develop female racers

With the backing of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs through the adoption of the Nasser bin Hamad Foundation for Supporting Females, Shaikha Haya bint Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa will be sponsored in motorsport competitions following HH Shaikh Nasser’s instructions.

On this occasion, Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Horse Care Affairs Authority, has expressed utmost thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser for supporting Shaikha Haya in karting, and extended his gratitude to the Nasser bin Hamad Foundation for Supporting Females for its contribution.

Shaikh Duaij stated that the victory of his daughter was made possible thanks to the support of HH Shaikh Nasser, affirming also his backing to her to cement the high position of the Bahraini women in the sports field.

It is worth noting that Shaikha Haya was the first female to win a karting race in Bahrain in the Rotax MAX Challenge.

Shaikha Haya started a year ago with full passion and love for this sport.

She had a target to achieve and she did really well in a short period of time.

She showed great pace after starting the final in second place.

She led the race from lap one to the finish with great confidence.

She triumphed by 0.672 seconds to become the first female in Bahrain to achieve such a feat.

Shaikha Haya and BirelArt Bahrain team made a great achievement, with team owner, Rashid Khalifa Al Moameri, playing a key role in this accomplishment.
