HH Shaikh Khalid hails Bahrain’s achievements at Fujairah Taekwondo event

The Bahraini Taekwondo succeeded in accomplishing great results at the Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship for teams and clubs, organised by the UAE Taekwondo Federation.
The two-day competition concluded on February 8, 2022, and Abdullah Taha Al Hedi of the Emperor Taekwondo Academy team bagged the gold medal at the 61kg category, while his compatriot Nouf Hassan Mohammed of Al Doy International Sports and Martial Arts Centre took home the bronze medal at the 51kg section. Both achievements were made in the juniors’ class.
On this occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, praised the distinguished results achieved by the Bahrainis, stressing that they are a confirmation of the results earned by both performers in the Arab Cup.
His Highness said: “We are proud of our heroes’ efforts in various tournaments, which reflect their high abilities and their keenness to honour the Kingdom of Bahrain.” Moreover, His Highness expressed his happiness with the performances delivered by both performers.
For his part, HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority expressed his happiness with the results achieved by Al Hedi and Mohammed in the competition, stating that they are the fruit of the keenness of both performers to give their all.
