Former Lightweight champion of the world Amin Ayoub has reinserted himself in the title conversation and is one fight away from a second meeting with arch-rival Ahmed Amir. However, the Frenchman will have to go past Abdisalam Kubanychbek in a Lightweight interim title fight before fighting Amir again.

They are scheduled to face off on March 11th, as one of three title fights for BRAVE CF 57, which takes place at the Khalifa Sports City Arena, in the Kingdom of Bahrain. That will be no easy task, of course, as Kyrgyzstan star Kubanychbek has simply run through the competition so far inside BRAVE CF, earning four stoppage victories in as many contests.

That has turned Abdisalam into one of the most feared fighters in the BRAVE CF roster, pound for pound, and has led many athletes to avoid him inside the BRAVE CF Arena.

Ayoub admits he doesn’t understand the hype around Kubanychbek, although he says his opponent is well-rounded and dangerous. For Amin, the fact that this will be a five-round contest plays to his strengths. ‘’I don’t understand why people are running away from this guy.

He’s just a normal guy. He’s a good grappler, and has good wrestling. He can be dangerous, but he’s not invincible, and I will prove it on March 11th. We can see in his fights, Kubanychbek can pressure in the first rounds, he has a lot of energy in that first round.

But I have good cardio and I can fight for five rounds, no problem’’. Apart from the interim Lightweight title between Ayoub and Kubanychbek, two other belts will be on the line at BRAVE CF 57.

In the main event of the evening, Hamza Kooheji and Brad Katona battle for the vacant Bantamweight world title, while Middleweight titleholder Mohammad Fakhreddine faces number one contender Mohamed Said Maalem for the vacant Light Heavyweight crown.

BRAVE CF 57 takes place during the BRAVE International Combat Week, which will also feature the MMA Super Cup, the biggest amateur competition, which will oppose the top national federations in the IMMAF rankings, with a total pool prize of over US$200,000 on the line for the top 3 national teams.
