Mobaadel wins NBB Cup in race day’s feature

Mobaadel won the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) Cup in the seventh and feature race yesterday at Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Sakhir.

Mobaadel triumphed for Al Mohamediya Racing and Hesham Al Haddad, while ridden by Neil Callan in the six-furlong, BD5,000 race.

Graphite Storm was the runner-up for Al Hassanain Racing, Ali Jan and Abdulla Faisal, while Roman River came third for M and E Racing, AM Smith and Julio Garcia Meanwhile, in the sixth race, held over nine furlongs with a BD4,000 prize, Ahdab claimed first place for Al Mohamediya Racing and Hesham Al Haddad, while saddled by Marcialis Jaures.

Another Al Mohamediyha horse was second in Medal Winner, trained by Hussain Aldailami and ridden by Neil Callan. Zezenia came third for MKAR Racing, Haider Ebrahim and Eoin Walsh.

Five more NBB Cups were to be won in yesterday’s other races. Fifth Fleet won in race five for MKAR Racing, Haider Ebrahim and George Wood. Munafis won for MKAR Racing in race four, trained by Haider Ebrahim and saddled by George Wood.

Race three was claimed by Mugheerah for Al Nayefaat, Abdulla Kuwaiti and Ahmed Maki, while race two saw Breathtaking triumph for Abdulla Fawzi Nass, Hesham Al Haddad and Neil Callan. The day’s opening race was claimed by Al Jellaby 1791 for Al Riffa, Yousif Alboainain and Abdulla Faisal.
