Hamza Kooheji to host “Secrets of a professional athlete” webinar at family virtual maljis

The Pride of Bahrain Hamza Kooheji will be hosting a “Secrets Of A Professional Athlete” webinar at the Family Virtual Maljis this Saturday at 8PM. The Pride of Bahrain started out his career 9 years ago as the first Bahraini professional mixed martial arts fighter. Since, he’s become the number one ranked fighter in his weight-division in the Middle East. Kooheji has crossed a lot of milestones for the Kingdom and developed a blue-print to pursue professional mixed martial arts for the younger generations. “We at KHK MMA are firm believers in social and community positive contribution, and we are excited and delighted to enlighten our society and whoever is interested in combat sports with the secrets of being a sportsman. We are going to share interesting issues, challenges, and how to overcome them, and we will be extending special gifts to whoever attends and joins the session,” says Kooheji. Kooheji will be joined by KHK MMA and Team Bahrain amateur fighter Mohammed Alsameea who has recently competed in the 2021 IMMAF World Championships finals, securing a silver medal for the Kingdom of Bahrain. Alsameea was the only Arab fighter in the finals of the World Championships, a testament to the sports development program in the Kingdom of Bahrain created through the support and guidance of His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and founder of KHK Sports and BRAVE CF. “I have witnessed the rise of Hamza Kooheji since the start of his career. When I first came to the gym, watching Hamza Kooheji accomplish greatness for the Kingdom of Bahrain inspired me to pursue mixed martial arts and dedicate myself to this sport. With his support and following the blue-print he has developed, I was able to accomplish great success for the Kingdom of Bahrain in combat sports by becoming the first Bahrain-born amateur fighter to compete in the finals of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) World Championships and bring the silver medal back to the country,” says Alsameea. “I look forward to raising awareness about what it means to pursue a sport professionally and become a professional athlete in the Kingdom.” The “Secrets Of A Professional Athlete” webinar will be moderated by Mohamme Qamber, the president of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation. The Bahrain Mixed Martial Federation is currently working with the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation and BRAVE Combat Federation to host the largest amateur mixed martial arts tournament in the history of combat sports, MMA Super Cup, where the national team of Bahrain will be amongst the 6 top nations in the world competing for a prize pool of $225,000 and to be crowned the best team in the world. “I am happy to moderate this important session at a crucial time for the development of mixed martial arts in the country and a few days before the biggest fight in Bahrain combat sports history with our homegrown champion Hamza Kooheji to shed some light on the achievements he has made for the Kingdom of Bahrain,” says Qamber. “From being the first-ever Bahraini professional mixed martial arts fighter to becoming the first-ever Bahraini to compete for a World Champion title in the truly global international mixed martial arts promotion, BRAVE Combat Federation.” The founder of the Family Virtual Majlis Ahmed Ali Al-Tareef also made a statement about the upcoming BRAVE International Combat Week in the Kingdom of Bahrain. “There is no doubt that March 2022 is a sporting month with distinction for the Kingdom of Bahrain, as Bahrain International Circuit BIC, the home of motorsports in the Middle East, and Gulf Air announced their preparations to host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2022, which will start from 18 to 20 next March, This is an opening for the new season of the World Championship with its new changes through the new era of Formula One.
