HH Shaikh Khalid congratulates Bahrain on new achievement

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee hailed Bahrain’s accomplishment in the MMA Super Cup which was held as part of BRAVE International Combat Week after the Bahraini National Team won the title following their well-earned 9-0 victory against Team Ireland in the final game.

His Highness said, “We are pleased with the new accomplishment of our MMA national team. This success is a source of pride as it came following strong performances that were put together by the team members. This honourable result is a confirmation of the advanced level of the Bahraini MMA sport, which succeeded in leaving its mark and achieving many accomplishments, which brought the team to the top of the IMMAF ranking. The Bahraini champions lived up to the expectations by deservedly winning the title.”

HH Shaikh Khalid escalated his warmest congratulations to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports on the occasion.

His Highness also congratulated HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council as well as the President and members of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation for the outstanding result achieved by the team in this international tournament.

HH Shaikh Khalid had attended the final day of BRAVE International Combat Week which featured the third-place match-up between Kazakhstan and Mexico in the MMA Super Cup, and the final between Bahrain and Ireland.
