Abdullah wins age-division in BTA juniors tennis

Abdullah Al Dosseri won the 10-and-under category of the Bahrain Tennis Academy (BTA) Junior Tennis Tournament, held at the courts of the Bahrain Tennis Federation in Isa Town.
Players initially took part in a round-robin competition, after which the top-scoring players in each group progressed to the final rounds. In the semi-finals, Nasser Mohamed defeated Marwan Safi 10-5 while Abdullah defeated Ali Al Khayyat 10-6.
In the play-off for third place, Marwan overcame Ali 10-3. Then, in the final match, Abdullah claimed the title with a thrilling 10-9 win over Nasser. BTA director Dan Barrie commented: “For this age category, we used the orange or 60-foot court, as recommended by the International Tennis Federation. “Although some of the players were not familiar with this court size, they adapted quickly and played some fantastic tennis.”
