A 25-player Indian national football team arrived in Bahrain yesterday ahead of their two international friendly matches this week. The delegation includes head coach Igor Stimac.

They were received upon their arrival at Bahrain International Airport by officials from the Bahrain Football Association.

The Indians are scheduled to play hosts Bahrain tomorrow in their first exhibition at the Muharraq Club Stadium in Arad. The game is scheduled for a 7pm kick-off.

Entrance will be free and all are welcome. They are then set to play Belarus on Saturday in another tune-up.

Both India and Bahrain are using the friendlies as part of their preparations for the third round of qualifying for the AFC Asian Cup 2023 this June.

Bahrain is in Group E alongside Turkmenistan, Bangladesh and Malaysia, while India are in Group D with Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Cambodia.
