The Faisal bin Khalid Athletics Academy team will participate in two athletics events in Saudi Arabia on March 24 and 25, its first foreign participation since the inauguration of the academy last November.
The team will compete in the regional club championship events in the junior and cub categories in King Khalid bin Abdulaziz Sports City in the Tabouk region.
The girl’s event, the first of its kind, will be held at Al Safa Club in Salwa, the Eastern Province. This participation aligns with the directives of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee to focus attention and care on members of the academy of both genders.
This participation also reflects the keenness of the President of the Bahrain Athletics Federation, Mohammed Abdullatif bin Jalal to advance male and female athletes, as well as the efforts of the Vice President of the Federation and the President of the Academy, Khalid Al Dosari, to enhance the academy’s outputs.
