Mahmood Abdulqader bags grand prize of Horse Pride Showjumping Championship

Mahmood Abdulqader has bagged the grand prize of the Horse Pride Showjumping Championship which took place under the patronage of HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), held in Al Raffa. The event brought down the curtain on the 2021/2022 showjumping season.

Abdulqader finished the first round of the race with four faults, before completing the second round in 58.32 seconds with a flawless display. Behind him was Hussain Dadallah of the Ministry of Interior team who clocked 54.89 seconds, while veteran showjumper Sami Ghazwan came third in 54.29 seconds.

The runner-up committed eight faults, while the third-place winner made 12 faults.

The winners were crowned by Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Showjumping Committee at BREEF and Tawfiq Al Salehi, Director of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Office and Information Centre in the presence of Huda Janahi, owner of the Horse Pride company. Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifa praised the performances showcased throughout the event, congratulating the winners.

He also hailed the support of the Horse Pride company to the showjumping sport. Meanwhile, Mayoof Al Rumaihi of the Minister of Interior team won the third competition of the Championship which included 115cm hurdles.

He posted a time of 24.08 seconds. Behind him was Ahmed Al Hasheli who completed the event in 25.23 seconds. Al Rumaihi also occupied third place as he participated on two different horses. Ghazwan won the Joker hurdle event, and Dadallah emerged as the victor in the fifth contest.
