Manama continued to apply the pressure on leaders Riffa in the 2021/2022 Nasser bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League following a hard-earned 1-0 victory over relegation-threatened Budaiya last night to kick off Week 15 of the season.
With the result, Manama narrowed the gap from top-of-thetable Riffa to just two points following their ninth win in 15 matches. They are now on 32 points, with Riffa on Riffa but having a game in hand tonight. Budaiya stayed in second-tolast place with eight points after their 11th loss.
Also yesterday, Al Hala beat Hidd 1-0 and Muhrraq drew with East Riffa 0-0. Hala claimed their fourth win to rise to 18 points, while Hidd suffered their eighth loss.
