Al Mahmood-Chai claim fourth straight win in Ramadan tennis at BTC

The pairing of Ahmed Adel Al Mahmood and Insoo Chai posted their fourth successive victory in Group B of the men’s doubles category in the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) Ramadan Tennis Tournament 2022 for The Late Yousif Khalil Almoayyed Cup. Al Mahmood and Chai defeated Amin Sharif Mohsen and Dr Mohammed Sharaf 6-2, 6-0 in their latest match to maintain their perfect record.

Also victorious in the same division on the fourth night of action were Ahmed Omran and Abdul Hussain Nashaba, who won via walkover against Mohammed Swar and Fatih Ekici; as well as Jamal Janahi and Essam Thanthawi, who battled past Ajit Bildani and Guru Subramaniam 7-5, 4-6, 10-6. Meanwhile, in Group A, Islam Abo Alam and Khalid Qayoom beat Hussain Ali Abdullatif and Adel Mohammed Redha 6-3, 6-0; Nabeel Dawani and Kamel Al Bahraini overcame Ali Abdullatif and Abdulkarim Mansoor 6-3, 7-6 (0); and Isa Al Sammak and Sayed Moosa beat Ahmed Al Mosawi and Ahmed Al Mansoori 6-2, 6-1.

The tournament is being sponsored by YK Almoayyed and Sons and organised by BTC. There are a total of 26 pairs competing in two categories in the event, including the men’s doubles and men’s super doubles. Play is being held in round-robin format until April 25. Matches start from 9pm onwards at the BTC courts in Juffair.
