Najma crowned Khalid bin Hamad handball league champions

Al Najma were crowned champions of the 2021/2022 Khalid bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League.
Najma clinched the title after defeating Al Ahli 32-26 in their concluding game of the season, played at the Bahrain Handball Association (BHA) Arena in Um Al Hassam.
The victors led 16-9 at the half and never looked back. Following their victory, Najma were awarded their respective trophy and gold medals by General Sports Authority CEO Dr Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar in the presence of BHA president Ali Isa and other high-ranking officials.
Najma chairman Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al Khalifa was on hand to receive the trophy on behalf of the team. Najma claimed their third successive league title with the result, and they did it in fantastic fashion as they ended the league with an unbeaten record in 20 matches held over two rounds.
It was also their sixth league championship overall, and second chapions’ trophy of the national handball season after having also won the Bahrain Handball Super Cup. Ahli finished the league campaign as runners-up while Al Shabab claimed the bronze medals.
