Sitra and Al Malkiya face off tonight for the last berth in next season’s Nasser bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League. The second division clubs are currently the bottom two sides in the mini-playoff tournament organised by the Bahrain Football Association, which also includes top-tier sides Hidd and Budaiya.

The quartet are battling for three spots in the 2022/2023 premier league. Hidd and Budaiya have already secured their places with one match still to go, with the other set to be determined between Sitra and Malkiya.

Sitra need only a draw to ensure their promotion to the Kingdom’s top flight, while Malkiya cannot settle for anything less than a victory. Sitra are currently on two points on the mini-tournament table while Malkiya have zero.

Their clash tonight is scheduled for a 7pm kick-off at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town. Hidd and Budaiya go headto-head in a non-bearing encounter at the National Stadium in Riffa, also at 7pm. Both games were originally scheduled to be held last Saturday, but were postponed following the passing of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, former president of the UAE.
