Bahrain win West Asian beach soccer bronze

Bahrain’s national beach soccer team won the bronze medals last night in the West Asian Football Federation Beach Soccer Championship 2022, held in Jizan, Saudi Arabia.
The Bahrainis claimed third place overall after defeating Palestine 5-2 in the bronze medal match. Rashid Jamal scored a brace for the Bahrainis, while also on target were Abdulla Abdullatif, Mahran Maatouk and Mohammed Ashoor.
The team’s delegation in Jizan was headed by team manager Bader Shamsan and head coach Sadeq Marhoon. It featured a list of 13 players.
They included Jamal, Abdullatif, Maatouk, Ashoor, Mohammed Darwish, Salman Salim, Khalifa Ebrahim, Ahmed Abdulrasool, Issam Flamerzi, Abbas Fadhel, Mohammed Yousef, Ali Hassanain and Mohammed Yaqoob.
