Bahraini-British motor racing team 2 Seas Motorsport enjoyed an impressive runner-up finish in the Donington Park round of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship 2022, held yesterday in the UK. The tandem of James Cottingham and Lewis Williamson shared duties in the team’s #4 Mercedes AMG-GT3 challenger to claim the hard-earned podium place.

Amongst a highly competitive field of 30 cars, they completed the three-hour race from the same position they started on the grid. The 2 Seas tandem posted 117 laps in all but were classified 59.973 seconds behind the victorious pair of Enduro Motorsport, while RAM Racing came third.

Aside from their overall classification, 2 Seas Motorsport were also second in the Pro-Am class amongst the GT3 contenders. Yesterday’s finish wrapped up the best performance for the team so far this season. The Donington Park round marked the third meeting of the campaign, with the series’ fourth race.

The 2 Seas crew are set to return in the next event, the Snetterton 300 on June 25 and 26. Two races will be held that weekend, which will be the fifth and sixth of the current campaign. There are seven meetings in all in the 2022 championship. The final three will be at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium in July, at Brands Hatch in September and again at Donington Park in October.
