FCBG holds summer basketball camp for youth

Filipino Club Basketball Group (FCBG) held its sixth annual basketball camp at the Muharaq Club Gym, Arad from 6 to 22 May.

The FCBG summer basketball program which was attended by 60 participants provides them with the opportunity to grow in the fundamentals of the game and engage in a hands-on, team-centric environment through fun competitions, drills, hands on instructions and team strategies.

According to FCBG Chairman Ricky Santiago, the three-hour session focuses on technical fundamentals and development drills to improve skillsets within the defense, ball-handling, shooting and passing, lay-ups and more, gaining exposure to new experiences and mentors.

FCBG has hosted several basketball clinics for young basketball enthusiasts led by its in-house coaches namely Jojo Arpon, Albert Abuan, Jack Azanza, Olet Mariano and Santiago aimed at bringing high-level coaching to empower the youth and young athletes to set big goals by encouraging them to dream beyond the court.

The engagement which is in preparation for the 2nd conference of the 44th season of the FCBG Basketball league for this year received overwhelming support from parents and the youth.
