Alexander crowned under-eight champion in BTC mini tennis

Alexander Carlos was crowned champion of the under-eight open singles category in the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) Juniors Circuit Mini Tennis Tournament, played at the BTC premises in Juffair.
The up-and-coming Filipino talent defeated Bahraini Abdulaziz Alwazzan 10-8 in the final to clinch his title. Earlier in the semi-finals, Alexander beat Noah Abdulkarim, also from Bahrain, 10-3 to book his ticket to the championship match.
Abdulaziz followed suit, overcoming Sean Espinosa from the Philippines 10-5. Alexander was the first champion crowned in the BTC mini tennis competition, which features play in red and orange tennis balls.
Meanwhile, Alexander will have a chance to claim a fantastic title double in the tournament as he is also in contention in the under-10 open singles category. The semi-finals for this age group have been set, and they are scheduled to be played on Friday.
Alexander is scheduled to take on Martin Zashev from Bulgaria in one final four clash, while Hakesh Vasanth Kumar will be taking on fellow-Indian Ishaan Ravi Londhi in the other.
