HH Shaikh Nasser to lead Royal Endurance Team in Slovakia

Led by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Team, the Royal Endurance Team is set to participate in the 120 km and 160 km races in the Samorin International Endurance Championship in Slovakia, which will witness wide participation from riders from Europe, the UAE and Kuwait.
HH Shaikh Nasser expressed appreciation of the support provided to the Bahraini endurance sport by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, contributing to the achievement of several accomplishments in the past period.
His Highness affirmed that the participation in the Samorin International Championship in Slovakia comes within the plan set by the Royal Endurance Team in the European participation to confirm the development and growth of Bahrain’s endurance sport, following the positive results achieved in the last period, the latest of which was winning the Montalcino International Endurance Championship title in Italy.
HH Shaikh Nasser explained that the Team is looking forward to achieving many goals in the championship, including the optimal preparation for participating in the upcoming World Championship, by preparing the riders and horses in the best way for this important station, in which the Team aspires to achieve the best results.
“There is no doubt that there are many goals that have been achieved in previous championships, and today we enter the Samorin Championship to complete our vision of preparing the horses and passing the stages successfully, in addition to gaining experience for riders and confirming their abilities in all championships, in order to optimally prepare for the upcoming World Championship, as European championships always witness strong competition and wide participation of riders from different countries of the world,” His Highness commented, adding: “We have great confidence in the capabilities of the Royal Endurance Team’s riders in accomplishing the desired goals, and we wish them every success in achieving the best results.”
Royal Team Riders
The Royal Endurance Team, led by HH Shaikh Nasser, will participate in the 120 km race, represented by riders Othman Abduljalil Al Awadhi, Salman Isa, Mohammed Al Hashemi and Manal Fakhrawi. HH Shaikh Nasser will also lead the Royal Team in the 160 km race with the participation of riders His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Jaafar Mirza, Abdulrahman Al Zayed and Raed Mahmood.
It is worth noting that the Championship will witness the participation of riders from Bahrain, the UAE, Kuwait, China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Slovakia and Turkey in the 120 km race. Meanwhile, riders from Bahrain, Kuwait, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey and Uruguay will participate in the 160 km race.
The hotel where members of the Royal Endurance Team delegation is staying in Slovakia was decorated with pictures from the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, during HM the King’s previous visit to Slovakia to attend the endurance race.
The pictures received great recognition from the visitors and guests of the hotel, as some pictures of HM the King were taken with HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
