HH Shaikh Nasser achieve second victory at Samorin International Endurance

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, achieved his second victory within 24 hours at the Samorin International Endurance, winning the 120km race yesterday in Slovakia.

HH Shaikh Nasser’s second straight success follows his victory in the 160km ride on Saturday. The double confirms His Highness’ high profile as a glory maker and history writer for Bahrain.

On this occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser dedicated the victories to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirming that the Bahraini sport is moving steadily towards development and affirming its high position at the European level.

“Undoubtedly these successes are a motivator for the Royal Endurance Team to continue producing its best performances in the coming period, especially that the team is eyeing to accomplish the best results in the World Championship,” HH Shaikh Nasser said.

“Our goals are met following the victories in the 120km and the 160km races, as we harvested the fruit of our plan we designed before the races. The Royal Endurance Team always enters any competition to win. The efforts produced by everyone in the team played a key role in this achievement,” HH Shaikh Nasser added, pointing out that the Samorin International Endurance Championship revealed the real abilities and capabilities of the Royal Endurance Team.

Furthermore, HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the Royal Team’s podium sweep in the 120km race as his teammates Salman Isa and Manal Fakhrawi finished second and third, respectively. It is worth noting that HH Shaikh Nasser posted a time of five hours, 48 minutes and 59 seconds to win the race.
