Bahrain Olympic football team set for Turkey camp

A 26-player Bahrain Olympic football team has been named for an overseas training camp in Turkey, which is scheduled to begin tomorrow and continue until August 6. The Kingdom’s under-23 national team coach Dario Basic from Croatia has called up his squad for the camp, which is being held in preparation for the Olympic team’s upcoming competitions.

The players include Khalifa Al Kous, Ahmed Rabia, Omar Saber, Nasser Ibrahim, Sayed Mahdi Sharaf, Hussain Abdulkarim, Sayed Jawad Haider, Salem Hussain, Ahmed Musalam, Ali Mohammed, Ammar Mirza, Hussain Haroona, Adel Al Rumaihi, Mustafa Salem, Saleh Al Zubaidi, Mohammed Faris, Bashir Fouad, Vincent Emmanuel, Hassan Issa, Ahmed Abdulhameed, Hussain Al Ekri, Hassan Abdulnabi, Abdulrahman Al Kooheji, Hassan Taha, Salman Adel and Khalil Ibrahim. During their camp, the Bahrainis are scheduled to play five friendly matches.

Prior to their departure, Bahrain Football Association vice-president His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa attended a local training session and met with the team’s members. HH Shaikh Khalifa urged the players to make the most of the camp and stressed its importance to their preparations for their forthcoming events.
