HH Shaikh Khalid directs BFA to drop disciplinary penalties against players, clubs’ officials ahead of new season

First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has directed the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) to drop all disciplinary penalties against all football players and clubs affiliated with BFA, ahead of the commencement of the new season (2022- 2023).

Following HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad’s directives, which benefit all football players and club administrators, who were subjected to disciplinary penalties or were suspended last season, BFA announced that all those penalties have been dropped.

On the occasion, BFA President, Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, expressed pride in HH Shaikh Khalid’s directives, noting that the kind gesture reflects HH’s fatherly support for sports and athletes in Bahrain, as well as keenness to serve football in the kingdom. He asserted that during the new football season, BFA will carry on its efforts to develop the football game, in accordance with the visions of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in order to achieve the goals set by HM the King ’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa instructed BFA’s executive management to take the necessary procedures to implement HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad’s directives ahead of the launch of the new season.
