Bahrain-Saudi handball Super Cup agreement signed

The Bahrain Handball Association (BHA) has signed an agreement with the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation (SAHF) to establish an annual Bahraini-Saudi Super Cup between the champions of the same event in both Kingdoms.
The signing ceremony was held in Dammam and in attendance was BHA president Ali Issa and SAHF chief Fadel Ali Mohammed Al Nemer. According to the deal, the one-off match will be hosted alternatively between the two countries, with the first next year to take place in Saudi.
It was also agreed that the participating teams will each be allowed to sign one professional player for the game. The agreement is the second of its kind for the BHA with neighbouring Gulf federation. Bahrain also has a deal to play an annual Super Cup game with the UAE. The reigning Bahrain Super Cup champions are Al Najma.
