Defending champions claim fourth successive win to stay undefeated atop league standings. Defending champions Al Najma were 28-20 winners against Al Ettifaq last night in the fourth week of action in the 2022/2023 Khalid bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League, taking place in the Bahrain Handball Association Arena in Um Al Hassam. Najma held a slim 12-11 lead heading into the locker rooms and Ettifaq did well to stay within striking distance right after the break.
They tied the game at 15-all nearly midway through the second half, but Najma were able to break the deadlock by scoring the next two goals before eventually pulling away and securing the final eight-goal winning margin. With the result, Najma claimed their fourth successive victory and remained undefeated at the top of the league table. Ettifaq were handed their first loss after previously also winning their first three games. League action continues tonight Bahrain Club going headto-head with Samaheej.
