The wait is over! Motorsport fans across the Kingdom can get right back into action at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) as “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” kicks its 2022/2023 season into high gear with the first Open Track Night tomorrow. Speed enthusiasts can bring their very own road cars or motorbikes to take them out on Bahrain’s very own F1 circuit and enjoy the chance to explore their cars’ limits within a safe and controlled environment.
Participants will be able to live out their motorsport dreams along BIC’s 5.412-kilometre Grand Prix track and take on the same corners tackled by Formula 1’s top stars each year. In this Friday’s activity, drivers and riders will be able to experience Open Track both in daylight conditions and at night under the brilliance of BIC’s state-of-the-art floodlights. Running will be held between 4pm and 11pm, while a members’ session will take place from 11pm to midnight. Registration will be from 3pm onwards.
Those interested in taking part can book in advance for BD79 for the full night, BD69 for the half night and BD29 for a single session. On the day itself, the full night price is BD115.500, the half-night cost is BD82.500, and the single-session price is BD44. Driver etiquette is of ultimate importance in every Open Track activity, so there is no close or aggressive overtaking permitted. Overtaking is by invitation between corners and driving is monitored, with poor or dangerous driving being dealt with swiftly by officials.
