Bahrain draw with Qatar in Asian U-17 qualifiers

Bahrain kept their hopes alive of gaining an outright bAFC U-17 Asian Cup afteerth in the 2023 r drawing 1-1 with Qatar in their second Group C clash of their qualifying group, currently being hosted in Muscat.
The Qataris took theade l in the 10th minute thalise 10 minutes into the second half after Sami Bassam buried the ball into the back of the net.
In yesterday’s other Group C fixtuman beatrough Ali Mohammad Shahabi, and it was enough to keep them in front heading into the break.
But the Bahrainis were able to equ Lebanon2- 1. The Bahraiis will next take on Oman tonight before facing Iraq in their concluding game on Friday. There are 44 nations in this stage of tnre, Ohe qualifiers.
They have been divided into 10 groups—four with five teams and six with four teams. In each group, teams will play each other once at a centralised venue.
The ten group winners and the five best runners-up will qualify for the final tournament.
