Hidd, Hala advance to King’s Cup quarters

Hidd and Al Hala last night completed the quarter-final line-up for this season’s His Majesty the King’s Cup football tournament.
Hidd advanced with a 1-0 win over East Riffa, while Hala made it through with a 2-0 triumph over Al Tadhamun. Those games concluded the competition’s round of 16. Hidd and Hala join in the last eight Sitra, Manama, league champions Riffa, Muharraq, Al Najma and Al Ahli.
The quarters have yet to be scheduled by the Bahrain Football Association. There, Hidd and Hala face off, Manama take on Sitra, Najma play Al Ahli, and Riffa and Muharraq lock horns in a mammoth clash.
In Hidd’s win last night, Thiago Augusto scored the match’s lone goal; while in Hala’s win, on target were Abdulaziz Khaled and Kwame Yeboah Jibrin.
