HH Shaikh Nasser, who is also Royal Endurance Team captain, met with the jockeys and instructed them to follow the technical plan set by the team to achieve the goals of participating in the 120km race.

HH Shaikh Nasser stressed the importance of gaining experience for young riders in light of the participation of elite jockeys from around the world, who have a great record in European participation.

“The Royal Team accomplished many goals in this participation after a series of continuous achievements over the past period,” HH Shaikh Nasser said.

Ceremony

A ceremony was held to honour Bahrain Royal Endurance Team jockey Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Zayed, who won the 160km race on Friday.

Also being celebrated was teammate Mayouf Abdulaziz Al Romaihi, who triumphed in the 127km race with Hamad Al Qahtani, who came third in the same event.

During the ceremony, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa was also honoured, having claimed third place in the 100km endurance ride.

Meanwhile, in yesterday’s races, Sultan Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi competed in the 120km race for juniors. He was misfortunate and did not complete the ride after falling in the last stage, a few metres before the finish line, without suffering any injuries.

Also in action was Sarhan Al Enezi, who competed in the 120km race for the public. He finished the race after completing all stages.
