Precision, timing, power and speed blended in an optimum proportion to create an ensemble of fighting extravaganza as BRAVE fighters displayed spectacular skills at a special event held at Energie Fitness, Juffair, last night.
The class spectacle served a prelude to the exciting, upcoming BRAVE events that are scheduled to be held next week.
The high-profile sporting event will comprise fights for two world titles as well as other championships.
Bahraini superstar Hamza Kooheji was the star attraction at the event, whose talents were on full display, inspiring the young Bahraini fighters who are set to compete in the amateur categories.
Speaking to The Daily Tribune, Hamza Kooheji said every youth in the Kingdom should embrace some or other form of sports to keep themselves fit and active.
“I am really thankful to HH Shaikh Khalid, who has been a role model for the youths of the country.
We now have a sports culture here. Embracing sports, not only mixed martial arts, would bring in a lot of discipline, which is a prerequisite for success in one’s life.”
BRAVE coach Renat Insnbov, a Russian national who has been in the Kingdom training fighters for the past eight years, said it has been a special privilege and a matter of pride to work for HH Shaikh Khalid and Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation.
“The Kingdom has a great sporting culture and it has definitely contributed to the growth of mixed martial arts.
I am really overwhelmed for having been part of the coaching team, which is responsible for grooming young fighting talents.”
Ahmed Mirza, Chief Executive Officer of BRAVE Gym, said the global brand has made the Kingdom number one hub for mixed martial arts.
“We will be opening BRAVE Gyms soon, where commoners could get trained along with fighters.
Such a physical training facility will be the first of its kind in the Kingdom.”
He said he is really proud of being able to associate with a brand that is the brainchild of HH Shaikh Khalid. Sam Brett, Athlete Relations Manager for Brave Combat Federation, said BRAVE is the fastest growing mixed martial arts brand in the world.
“Which other brand has covered 28 countries in six years? The upcoming event will be a spectacular show of fighting skills.
There will be competitions for two world titles along with fighters from African countries contesting with fighters from other nations.
It is going to be something which passionate lovers of mixed martial arts can’t afford to miss.”
