Isa Town Secondary and Al Fateh Secondary progress to last-8

Isa Town Secondary School and Al Fateh Secondary School breezed for the last-8 round of the Nasser bin Hamad Football Tournament for Secondary Schools after easy wins against Britus International School and Al Hekma International School, respectively.

Both games took place as part of Group 2 of the competition which is organised by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and Bahrain Cinema Company (Cineco).

Isa Town Secondary School made short work of their opponents following a comfortable 10-0 win in their game which took place at A’ali Club’s football field.

Rashid Al Basri was the star of the show, contributing seven goals to his team’s tally.

The other goals were netted by Talal Salah, Zayed Mohammed and an own goal scored by one of Britus’ defenders.

Al Basri was named the best player of the game thanks to his efforts throughout the game.

Meanwhile, Al Fateh Secondary School had plain sailing in their game against Al Hekma International School following a comfortable 8-1 win.

The major contributors to this victory were Mohammed Fadel and Jassim Saad, both of whom earned a hat-trick each.

Al Hekma’s consolation goal came through Yousif Jaffar in the second half. Jassim Sa’ad of Al Fateh won the best match award for his performance
