Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is set to host on Friday (October 28) a full day of activities in support of Think Pink: Bahrain Breast Cancer Society.

The BIC Think Pink Day will include a Batelco Fitness on Track activity and a motorbike parade in the morning, followed by an Orange Media Open Track event in the evening.

The whole day’s programme is part of BIC’s Corporate Social Responsibility, supporting worthwhile initiatives across the Bahrain community.

BIC has been a long-time backer of Think Pink and this year is stepping up its support with the full day’s events.

Special edition BIC T-shirts will be on sale on the day with all proceeds going to Think Pink: Bahrain Breast Cancer Society.

In Batelco Fitness on Track, participants will have the chance to take part in a fun, physical activity within a casual and safe environment—either on foot or on a bicycle.

Friday’s event is scheduled for 6am to 10am, giving runners and cyclists a bright start to the weekend.

BIC is expecting the activity to be hugely popular with fans due to the great popularity of past events.

Those interested in taking part are therefore advised to book online in advance at BIC’s official website bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000.

All who register must pay upon booking.

The cost to take part is just BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners.

Those under the age of 12 can participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult.

The running and cycling will take place on separate track layouts.

Runners and walkers will be utilising the 2.550-kilometre Inner Track, while cyclists will be able to ride their bikes along BIC’s 3.543-kilometre Outer circuit, with a dedicated area for children’s cycling.

All taking part will be able to enjoy the activity within BIC’s secure and controlled setting.

Batelco Fitness on Track will be followed by the motorbike parade, which is scheduled to get underway at 10am at BIC.

The bikers will enjoy a ride around BIC’s 5.412-kilometre track and all those attending the Batelco Fitness on Track will be able to watch the parade.

BIC Think Pink Day will then culminate with an Open Track Night from 4pm to midnight.

Speed enthusiasts can bring their very own road cars or motorbikes to take them out on Bahrain’s very own F1 circuit and enjoy the chance to explore their cars’ limits within a safe and controlled environment.

Participants will be able to live out their motorsport dreams along BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Track.

Drivers and riders will be able to experience Open Track both in daylight conditions and at night under the brilliance of BIC’s state-of-the-art floodlights.

Those interested in taking part can book in advance for BD99 for the full night, BD71.500 for the half night and BD33 for a single session.

On the day itself, the full night price is BD115.500, the half-night cost is BD82.500, and the single-session price is BD44.

Driver etiquette is of ultimate importance in every Open Track activity, so there is no close or aggressive overtaking permitted.

Overtaking is by invitation between corners and driving is monitored, with poor or dangerous driving being dealt with swiftly by officials.
