A classic car show featuring some of the most impressive and rarest classic cars from around the world will be captivating race-goers at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) at the upcoming Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain—the season-ending round of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The awesome display of vintage automobiles is being put together by Bahrain Motor Club.

The show will be among the leading off-track attractions throughout the WEC weekend, which takes place at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” 11 and 12 November. All those with tickets to the event will be able to visit the car show at no extra cost.

Bahrain Motor Club Chairman of the Board of Directors His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali bin Abdulla Al Khalifa expressed his happiness with the club’s participation at WEC weekend and in contributing to highlight the club’s efforts in preserving classic cars and putting on public exhibitions.

Shaikh Ahmed stressed that BIC has become “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” thanks to the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Shaikh Ahmed added that BIC has helped boost the Kingdom’s sporting, cultural and economic sectors and it has raised many major economic and development projects.

BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa commented: “The classic car show is a wonderful addition to our offtrack attractions at the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain weekend.

“It is fitting that it is being held during our WEC event, with the championship boasting a rich history of some of the most iconic sportscars and car brands.

The classic car show will be a popular draw amongst race-goers with the impressive collection of vintage automobiles on display.

“We thank Bahrain Motor Club Chairman His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and the club’s management for their continuous support of BIC and for being a part of our WEC event this year.

“We look forward to enjoying the show that Bahrain Motor Club has put together for all.”

Bahrain Motor Club has been operating for 70 years and has an international reputation for having some of the most exclusive cars seen.

It is a one-of-akind organisation that has made many contributions to regional motoring through the years.

Bahrain Motor Club aims to unite all owners of classic cars in Bahrain under the club’s banner, contribute to the growth of the classic cars culture in Bahrain, set up shows in the Kingdom dedicated to classic cars, and participate in overseas shows while representing the Kingdom’s classic car community.

Bahrain Motor Club also hopes to raise the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain in club activities and participations, help overcome the difficulties experienced by those wishing to acquire classic cars, and provide technical and advisory services to all club members.

The show is set to be a major part of what’s in store for fans at BIC throughout the WEC event.
