Samaheej cruise past Ahli in BBA Cup

Samaheej outclassed Al Ahli 91-69 last night in their Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Cup contest, played at Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam.
Samaheej built a commanding 28-13 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.
They enjoyed a 52-27 advantage at the half, which they extended to a virtually insurmountable 87-52 gap heading into the final canto.
There, they managed just four points while Ahli scored 17, but it made little difference to the final outcome as Samaheej were still able to win by a comfortable 22-point margin.
Three players scored 20 points or more for Samaheej. Basel Adel was their leading man with 25, while American professional Stephen Hurt added 24 points. Skipper Ahmed Fateel chipped in with 20 in the win.
