Ettihad beat Bahrain Club in BBA Cup

Al Ettihad claimed a 102-97 victory over Bahrain Club last night in their Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Cup clash, played at Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam.
Ettihad took control of the game early and after taking a 34-30 lead at the end of the first quarter, they stretched their advantage to 70-52 to close out a high-scoring first half.
Ettihad remained in control in the third, but in the final canto allowed Bahrain Club to gradually chip away at their lead en route to the game-ending single-digit winning margin. Skipper Mohammed Yusuf scored 28 points, while American professional Adrian Uter chipped in with 11.
In another BBA Cup game, Al Hala edged past Sitra 65-62. Ettihad and Hala joined Samaheej and Muharraq as winners from the opening week of play in this year’s BBA Cup.
