Al Nasser made a winning start to their 2022/2023 campaign in the Isa bin Rashid Bahrain Volleyball League last night.
Nasser registered a well-deserved 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 30-28) victory over Al Dair in their Group Two fixture, played at the Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA) Arena at Isa Sports City in Riffa.
The BVA has implemented a new system for the new season.
All 14 clubs under the umbrella of the BVA will now feature in the league. For the first round of action, they will be divided into two groups.
Bani Jamra, Al Shabab, Al Ahli, Al Najma, Nabih Saleh, Ma’ameer and Etehad Al Reef are in Group One.
Group Two features Al Nasser, Dar Kulaib, Muharraq, A’ali, Tadhamon, Busaiteen and Al Dair.
Following a single round-robin, the top three from each division move on to compete in the round of six for the league title.
Action in this stage will feature two rounds, with the top four moving on to the Golden Square semi-finals.
