Doubles finals set in Bahrain ITF tennis event

Third seeds Anna Kislyak and Anna Perelman will meet fourth seeds Vlada Kozak and Mille Johanna Moerk in the girls’ doubles title-decider of the third and final Bahrain event on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour Juniors Calendar 2022.

Kislyak and Perelman booked their berths following a 6-1, 6-2 win over second seeds Munisa Ashurbekova of Uzbekistan and Eda Numanoglu of Turkey in their semi-final contest. Vlada and Mille followed suit with a 7-5, 6-2 triumph over Kariman Buqai of Israel and Olga Danilova of Cyprus.

On the distaff, the boys’ doubles final will be contested between the pairings of fourth seeds Marko Milosavljevic of Serbia and Tim Vaisman of Israel and Nikita Safonov and Samprit Sharma of India. Milosavljevic and Vaisman ousted Qatari brothers Rashed and Mashari Nawaf 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 while Safonov and Sharma overcame a tough challenge from Vineeth Mutyala of India and Aril Kayra Tuna of Turkey 6-4, 1-6, 10-8.

Meanwhile, top seed Lea Bathellier of France will meet fourth-seeded Kislyak in the girls’ singles semi-finals, while Mille and Perelman will face off in the other match. Lea was a 6-0, 6-3 winner over Roni Baranes of Israel while Kislyak beat third-seeded Eda, who retired after trailing 0-6, 0-4.

Mille was a 6-3, 6-4 winner against eighth seed May Fadida of Israel while Perelman beat Kariman 6-2, 6-2. On the distaff, top seed Dmitry Bessonov will take on Vaisman in the boys’ singles semi-finals while second seed Amit Shahr of Israel will play third seed Rashed Nawaf.

Bessonov ousted Mashari Nawaf 4-6, 6-0, 6-1 while Vaisman upset fourth seed Vineeth Mutyala of India 6-4, 6-2. Rashed Nawaf was a 6-2, 6-0 winner over eighth seed Maxwell Castle of Great Britain while Shahar beat Maciej Zarebski of Poland 6-4, 6-4. Today and tomorrow will be the last two days of the competition, which is a J4 level event on the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Calendar 2022.
